Hey there! As you may have already guessed, my name is Stella Gutierrez. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay.
I'm currently working as a Graphic Producer for Newad. I am in my final year of study, completing a Joint Major in Business Administration and Interactive Arts & Technology at Simon Fraser University. My greatest interests in design lie in the things that communicate on a human level, that touch you in unexpected ways, and that make you appreciate the little things in life.
I just recently came back from a design field study in northern Europe, where I had an amazing time! You can watch my video on the site where I speak about what I learned. I promise it won’t bore you to tears!
I’m not very different from all of you. I love music and food. I love to laugh until my jaws hurt. I love to travel. I enjoy observing people. I like reveling in vintage ephemera and being inspired by thought-provoking works of art. And like everyone else, I love shopping.
The people who have the biggest influence on my art are Julien Pacaud and Richard Hamilton. The musicians that inspire me most are Radiohead, Thom Yorke, Sigur Rós, The Notwist and Sparta.
The photographs that have been manipulated to create my art are either my own, or mostly come from sxc.hu or iStock.com. Vintage photographs have been used with permission from Dave of Plan59.com, and have not been used for commercial purposes. |
